So during this week, our classes were starting to round up, we had a lot of projects due, and things got a little out of hand with the amount of work. But obviously I survived so it couldn't have been that bad I guess. AGAIN, nothing really happened during the week, but on the weekend, some of the Aggies that were in Italy came to visit us, so I showed them around. I had seen a lot of the places already, but it was good to reminisce. :)
One place we went that I hadn't been to was Casa Batlló by Antoní Gaudí. It turned out to be one of my favorite works by him. Plus, I finally got to see my favorite ceiling in a building. (I know that sounds weird, but you will see haha)

The tile in the atrium had a darker gradient the higher you went. This was to create less glare from daylight and make the color seem more uniform if you looked up at it from below. Pretty cool.

That day we also went to Palau de la Musica Catalana, which is one of the Old opera houses in Barcelona. Designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner, it is one of the most ornate buildings in Barcelona! No pictures were allowed inside, but it was so amazing that I have to show it. So I stole a picture from the internet...haha :)

Well that was my last weekend in Barcelona. It was good to go around and tour new things and old things. Even though I did have to fight off a pick-pocketer, it was still a great weekend. The next week we did final presentations and then it was off to Ireland, Germany, and Rome for our final week long trip. What a great way to end the semester! :)

I've loved following you around Europe through the blog. Your pictures are great... I can just see you tyring to get the best angle for each one. Can't wait to swap stories about our Spanish speaking adventures once we're both back in the US!
