First Full Day in Spain

Even though it is my second trip to Spain, my first in Barcelona has not stopped amazing me from the moment I stepped of the plane!
Where I live, Residence Pere Filipe Monlau
I live in the old original part of the city which originally had a wall around it. Every street is filled with life and every building seems to have its unique details.

Las Ramblas- The most famous street in Barcelona

Las Ramblas
Street performers, vendors, restaurants, cafes, and other stores line this street and make it one of the most lively places to be during the day. I take it on my walk to class everyday :).

Statue in La Plaza Cataluña with the end of Las Ramblas in the background.

This plaza marks the edge of the old city of Barcelona and the new part designed by Cerda.

All in all, I was so impressed with all the people and places we went on the first day. AND I carried on a perfectly normal conversation with the cab driver on the way to the residence from the airport! Maybe my Spanish isn't as rusty as I thought. haha

P.S.- This is just the first day! More to come...

Un abrazo,

Seth
